Since beginning back in 2006 Sarah & Jai Schelbach have established four 16 Strings String Quartets in four different cities around Australia - Newcastle, Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast (very soon to have Sydney as well). Although we have more then one group, we are not a booking agent, so you are dealing direct with the business you have hired.  We strive to be proffesional and excellent in every area of our business not just our music!

16 Strings String Quartet Gold Coast provides high quality music for private events and corporate functions from the Northern Rivers, NSW to the Gold Coast, Qld and surrounding areas.

16 Strings String Quartet Brisbane provides entertainment and elegant music to functions and weddings in the Brisbane and surrounding areas.

16 Strings String Quartet Sunshine Coast provides professional music and entertainment for weddings and functions  on the Sunshine Coast - catering for the Maroochydore, Noosa, Caloundra areas.

16 Strings String Quartet Newcastle is our newest group to the 16 Strings family, and our first NSW group servicing the Newcastle, Hunter Valley and surrounds.

So Why Only A String Quartet Option & Not A Trio or Duo?

Rock and 'top of the charts' songs in today’s music normally consists of a lead singer, a drummer, an electric guitar and a bass guitar. So the music that we’ve arranged for our quartet has reflected the modern band format to allow us to have all the necessary parts in the music we play. We create arrangements that sound true to the original works.
