16 Strings String Quartet Sunshine Coast is our third group that services the Sunshine Coast (Marroochydore, Noosa & Caloundra) and surrounding areas.
As a group 16 Strings String Quartet Sunshine Coast are passionate and experienced performers who just love to play music. Their aim is to bring an elegant touch to any event such as a wedding, anniversary, birthday celebration, corporate function or public event.
With a mixture of jazz, pop and classical this Sunshine Coast string quartet brings a contemporary approach to a 'traditional' type of entertainment.

Vanessa Pollard - Group Leader / Violin
Vanessa (violin) has enjoyed playing the violin, ever since she was introduced to it at a young age. Over the years she has performed both as a soloist and as a part of many different orchestras. With her school orchestra she was lucky enough to play at many events in a professional capacity and performed as a part of a small orchestra at a reception for the Prime Minster John Howard. Over the years Vanessa has been involved in eisteddfods and Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra performances, as well as being a part of a local production of Okalahoma.

Jacinta Simons - Violin
Jacinta (violin) is the first violinist in the String Quartet. She is currently still studying. She has been playing the violin since she was 4 years old and feels very natural at it. Her performing history involves playing 8 years with the Sunshine Coast Youth Orchestra with 3 of those years being concert master of the Concert Orchestra in the organisation. She loves playing in the quartet and likes to produce a beautiful tone in her playing.

Eloise Fisher - Viola
Eloise (viola) is the viola player for the Sunshine Coast quartet. Currently still studying, Eloise has been learning an instrument since grade 3. When she was 8, she first learnt to play the violin but at 10 was given the opportunity to play the viola. Ever since then she has played the viola in school orchestras and had performing experience at Eisteddfods and school concerts. She has also been lucky enough to tour to Sydney and Canberra on school music tours where she has played in venues that include The Great Hall and Llewellyn Hall.
